The grapes come from our vineyards located between 300 and 400 meters above sea level on the hills of the territory of Loro Piceno.
Sangiovese, Montepulciano and in smaller quantities, Merlot
The harvest is manual and respects the order of maturity: first Merlot and Sangiovese, then Montepulciano. The different varieties of grapes are vinified separately; the process of fermentation on the skins is determined by the specific characteristics of the grapes and it last from 7 to 10 days. After fermentation the wines are blended for the first stage of maturation in small oak barrels. After a long stay in barrels, when the wine har reached its proper maturation, is bottled. It follows a further period of aging in bottle and finally is ready for sale.
Deep ruby color, red flowers, and fruit aromas with spicy, full-bodied, balanced, persistent, harmonious, with a pleasant freshness and tannicity.
It goes well with structured first dishes with meat sauces, excellent with grille or roasted meats, beef, pork, lamb, game and cured meats.
