Le Spiazzette is a place where time stopped.
Here you can find the taste and flavour of the past, the fruits of the nature that otherwise would have been forgotten. The Mela Rosa dei Monti Sibillini (literally the Pink Apple of the Sibillini Mountains), the Ciliegia Corniola (the Carnelian Cherry) and the Prugnolo selvatico (the wild plums) revive to be known by the marmalades and the compotes that we make. We collect the fruits personally from the trees and the bushes of the woods around the orchards.
An ethical choice, difficult and courageous, but made with the heart and the consciousness/hope that our product will be appreciated. Our jams are realized simply with fruit and sugar, according to the receipts of the good old times.
Le Spiazzette is also a place of historical memory. The name derives, indeed, from the famous legend telling that the fairies Sibille come down from the mountains to dance with the local youth. They danced in the fields and with their dancing, they shaped some surfaces, small squares (piccole piazze) called "spiazzette".
Our eyes don't stop at the orchards, but continue towards the mountains, the places where the legend, the culture and the nature cohabitate since always and create every day mysterious and new scenarios.
"Regarding the taste, the apples of Tivoli are inferior to the ones of the Piceno, that, however, look more beautiful"
Quinto Orazio Flacco (65 a.C.)
